Cody Ohl’s journey in rodeo is marked by determination, skill, and an unwavering commitment to excellence. Born on September 21, 1973, in Rosenberg, Texas, Cody’s passion for roping began early, leading him to win National High School Rodeo awards. In 1994, he burst onto the professional scene, earning the PRCA Overall and Tie-Down Roping Rookie of the Year titles.
Over his illustrious career, Cody secured six PRCA World Championships—five in Tie-Down Roping (1997, 1998, 2001, 2003, 2006) and one All-Around title in 2001. His remarkable resilience was evident during the 2001 National Finals Rodeo, where, despite a severe knee injury, he clinched both the tie-down and all-around titles. With 20 NFR qualifications and over $3 million in career earnings, Cody’s legacy is firmly etched in rodeo history.
Now retired from competition, Cody channels his expertise into training the next generation of exceptional horses at 6xHorses.
